Schools Honored for Achievements

White Hat Management is proud to announce that HOPE Academies of Brown Street and Lincoln Park, have earned the distinguished honor of being rated "Effective" by the State of Ohio for the 2009-2010 school year.
To be rated "Effective" a school must meet various benchmarks academic performance.

HOPE Academy Brown Street Administrator Tony Cardinal and HOPE Academy Lincoln Park Administrator Holly Williams were on hand to receive awards at a ceremony held by The Ohio Coalition for Quality Education (OCQE).

The ceremony was held to honor charter schools that produced high academic results on the 2009-2010 state report card. Forty charter schools were honored for their achievements. The keynote speaker for the event was Lt. Governor-elect Mary Taylor, who spoke on the important role that charter schools play in Ohio's education system.
Ron Adler, President of the Ohio Coalition for Quality Education said, "These schools are changing the face of public education. Operating with significantly less funding and working under higher levels of accountability... in just a few years many of these schools have become the best in their community."
HOPE Academy Lincoln Park and HOPE Academy Brown Street are both operated by White Hat Management of Akron. They serve urban youth in grades K-8 in the Cleveland and Akron areas respectively.
