About HOPE Academies

Ineffective public schools. Very expensive private schools. Now, there's a third choice. And it's a good choice: HOPE Academies charter schools.

Managed by White Hat Management, LLC, these community schools serve school children ranging in age from 5 to 17, grades K-11, including children with disabilities. When a child comes to a HOPE Academy, he or she enters a safe, clean, positive and caring environment built on respect. It's "Yes, sir" and "Yes, madam." Uniforms for students, teachers, and staff. Quiet hallways. Students deep in thought.

HOPE Academies are committed to helping parents and children overcome obstacles so students can reach their full academic potential. The strategy: provide a high-quality school of choice with curriculum programs and instructional methods specifically designed for the student population.

Currently, there are 13 HOPE Academies throughout Ohio – in Akron, Canton, Cincinnati, and Cleveland. They provide an exciting educational alternative, as more than 4,800 students have already discovered.

Select HOPE Academy locations offer before and/or after school care, and breakfast programs. Times and programs vary by location. The staff at your local HOPE Academy will be happy to help you determine available programs and times. Call 1-800-525-7967 for more information.

The HOPE Academies and Riverside Academy are community schools established under Chapter 3314 of the Revised Code. These schools are public schools and students enrolled in and attending the schools are required to take proficiency tests and other examinations prescribed by law. In addition, there may be other requirements for students at the schools that are prescribed by law. Students who have been excused from the compulsory attendance law for the purpose of home education as defined by the Administrative Code shall no longer be excused for that purpose upon their enrollment in a community school. For more information about this matter contact the school administration or the Ohio Department of Education.
