4 CHARTER SCHOOLS RECEIVE FINANCIAL REPORTING AWARDS

Cincinnati Business Courier – October 10, 2005 — Four Cincinnati-area charter schools managed by White Hat Management have been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada for the 2003-04 school year.

Riverside Academy in Cincinnati, and Life Skills Centers in Cincinnati, Hamilton County and Middletown were recognized for governmental accounting and financial reporting, according to a news release. The award is intended to encourage excellence in financial reporting by state and local governments.

"The nonprofit boards we serve and our company perceive fiscal responsibility to be one of our greatest priorities, and we are glad to be recognized as leaders in this arena," said Mark Thimmig, CEO of White Hat Management.

To be eligible for the award, GFOA member organizations submit annual financial reports and the submissions are judged by a panel.

White Hat Management, based in Akron, Ohio, provides education management and school operation services.
